I started Hola Baked in 2015 in PVD, literally 5 months after having my son Eli. But after a couple of years I decided to put the small baked goods company on hold and head back to school. Yup. Crazy. 2019. My life now involves a tiny apartment in a building filled with Abuelas and Tias in NYC, while attending Columbia University full-time. I’ve somehow found a way to studying race & ethnicity, history, and still talk about food. I make cookies to get me through stressful papers and I go all out on dinner meals with friends & family. Honestly, I’m just journeying on reconnecting with my Latinx roots and re-envisioning what my future could look like with food + community.
